General information on residence and work permits for Denmark

In Denmark applications for residence and work permits are administered by two different agencies under the Ministry of Immigration and Integration: the Danish Immigration Service (DIS) and the Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI). DIS and SIRI share the same website: www.newtodenmark.dk. There you can find detailed information on all residence and work permits for Denmark including information about application fees payable to DIS/SIRI, individual requirements for the different types of permits, processing times and application forms (available as documents but also online forms).

Finding the right application form

Go to www.newtodenmark.dk. Find the type of residence and work permit that applies to you and click on the 'How to apply' option. Please note that most application forms also come in an online version.

 

Submitting your application

The application can be submitted at at the visa application centre in the country where you are residing. Denmark's external service provider in Oceania is VFS Global. You can read more on our website here. Contact details can be found below.
