Biometric passport suitcase visit

A consular staff member will visit selected Honorary Consulates during the year with a portable biometric passport suitcase, in order to accept passport applications. The biometric suitcase works as a mobile device to record fingerprints, photo and a digital signature with regards to passports.

  • Brisbane QLD – Every 9-12 months. Date for the next visit is Tuesday 13th and Wednesday 14th May 2025. Appointments must be made directly with the Honorary Consulate in Brisbane. Contact details can be found here
  • Perth WA - Every 9-12 months. The date for next visit is Tuesday 2nd September 2025. Appointments must be made directly with the Honorary Consulate in Perth. Contact details can be found here
  • Melbourne VIC - A biometric passport station is located permanently at the Danish Consulate General in Melbourne and it is possible to make bookings for the third Thursday in every month. Contact details can be found here
  • Auckland New Zealand - A biometric passport station is located permanently at the Danish Consulate General in Auckland and it is possible to make bookings on a regular basis. Contact details can be found here
  • Darwin NT, Hobart TAS, Adelaide SA, Suva FIJI. At this point in time no visits are planned.

Appointments must be made beforehand with the applicable Honorary Consulate. 

Processing time

Processing time for passport applications received under the biometric visit is 6-8 weeks. Unexpected circumstances may delay the processing time.
