Declaration of driving rights

If you require a declaration of your driving rights for use outside Denmark, you must contact The Danish Road Safety and Transport Agency (Færdselsstyrelsen) by digital post and request a declaration in English. The subject in the e-mail should read “Bekræftelse af kørekort" (confirmation of driving licence).

If you do not have access to digital post, your request should be sent to: [email protected]. The request should include your name and contact details, including your current postal address. 

The Mission can assist you with contacting the Danish Road Safety and Transport Agency (Færdselsstyrelsen) in order to request a declaration of your driving rights, however the request will not be handled faster. A handling fee applies. See The Ministry of Foreign Affairs list of fees.

Please be aware that the Danish Road Safety and Transport Agency will forward the declaration to you directly.
