Finding, screening and selecting appropriate candidates for a specific role while you are in another country can be a challenging task. Not having access to local recruitment platforms, knowledge of local customs, or understanding of Australian laws and regulations can negatively influence the outcome of the recruitment process. The Danish Trade Council offers a service that can overcome these issues and ensure a credible and effective recruitment process. Trade specialists are able to handle all aspects of the recruitment process from advertising, to selecting appropriate candidates, to conducting interviews.

Working closely with the client, the Danish Trade Council develops a job description and hiring criteria. This job description is then distributed across platforms. Our trade specialists then screen each application to ensure ten appropriate candidates move onto the interview phase. These interviews will be conducted either face-to-face (with COVID-19 restrictions permitting), or over the phone. The Trade Council will then present the client with a set of qualified candidates for a second round interview (where the client will participate).

Following these interview rounds, the Trade Council and client will participate in a joint final evaluation of the potential new hires. Successful hires will then undergo an Australian criminal record check and reference check. The entire process usually lasts between 6-12 weeks depending on the timing and application quality.
