Mobile biometric kit

A consular staff member from the Embassy in Canberra or the Consulate General in Sydney will travel with the mobile biometric kit to selected Honorary Consulates in the region in order to record biometric data of Danish passport applicants.

Australia

  • Brisbane QLD –Date for next visit is 20th of February 2024. Bookings must be made directly with the Consulate in Brisbane. Contact details can be found here
  • Melbourne VIC - The Consulate in Melbourne is able to make bookings for the third Thursday in every month. Contact details can be found here
  • Perth WA - Visits approximately every 9 months. The date for next visit is Thursday 5. December 2024. Appointments must be made directly with the Honorary Consulate in Perth. Contact details can be found here
  • Adelaide SA - no fixed visiting schedule

Appointments:

Appointments must be made beforehand. 

Please bring:

  • Two sets of the application form duly completed and signed. The application form can be downloaded here
  • Current original Danish passport and two copies of the passport's data page. 
  • Remember cash. Please bring correct amount as change may not be available. For current consular service fee please see this link.

Note - Upon passport application (regular passport, provisional/emergency) please note, if you cannot provide/present your most recent passport (ie. lost, stolen or damaged), then it will incur an additional fee according to The Ministry of Foreign Affairs list of fees. Please be aware that Danish citizens may only be issued three passports over a five-year period.

Special cases: If the applicant is born outside of Australia and has acquired Australian citizenship by decent due to one of the parents being Australian, then the Embassy in Canberra or the Consulate General in Sydney should be contacted (prior to making an appointment) for further information about special criteria in this situation.

Processing time: 4-7 weeks. Unexpected circumstances may delay the processing time. 

 

New Zealand
