Update on the Danish state visit to Australia 2026
Their Majesties King Frederik X and Queen Mary will visit Australia for a state visit from 14 to 19 March 2026.
Their Majesties will be accompanied by the Minister for Climate, Energy, and Utilities, along with a large business delegation. The Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister for Foreign Affairs were supposed to accompany as well, but due to the call of General Elections in Denmark, they will not participate.
A key focus of the visit will be green transition. Over fifty accompanying Danish companies will participate in the official business promotion initiative "Partnering for a Green, Secure and Sustainable Tomorrow".
Nature and cultural conservation elements will also form part of the state visit which will include Northern Territory, ACT, Victoria, and Tasmania.
